OverviewSprite of Ganon from The Legend of Zelda, next to is a primary recurring antagonist in The Legend of Zelda series. He has appeared primarily in two forms. The first is Ganon, a monstrous, pig-like beast-man that was first introduced in the original The Legend of Zelda. Later games, starting with The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, depict him in human form with the name Ganondorf. In Ocarina of Time and some other games in which he appears as human, he assumes his monstrous Ganon form near the end of the is the personification of an evil that continuously threatens Hyrule over the generations. As part of this ambition, he is most often depicted as coveting possession of the Triforce. As with the series protagonists Link and Zelda, he traditionally represents one of the three pieces of the Triforce; specifically, the Triforce of Power, for his raw strength and lust for control. The other pieces of the Triforce, the Triforces of Wisdom and Courage, are traditionally represented by Zelda and Link, Ganon is characterized as the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda, he does not appear in every game, and the roles he plays in some games in which he does appear are minor. As an example of the former, he does not appear in The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask, a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. As an example of the latter, though Ganon's potential resurrection is a threat faced in Zelda II The Adventure of Link, his only appearance comes in the Game Over screen, in which it is implied that Link fails in his quest and Ganon is following section is a history of some of Ganon's appearances in The Legend of Zelda Legend of ZeldaIn the original The Legend of Zelda, Ganon appears as the game's final boss. Holding Princess Zelda captive, he holds the Triforce of Power and seeks the Triforce of Wisdom. After Link gathers the pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom, Ganon challenges him to a battle, but is killed when Link uses the silver arrow to defeat Legend of Zelda A Link to the PastGanon's design in A Link to the Link to the Past is the first game to hint at Ganon's human form, though he does not appear in the game in this guise. The game's English language manual states that as a human, his full name is Ganondorf Dragmire. A thief seeking the Triforce, he finds a way into the Sacred Realm and claims it. However, the power of the Triforce transforms him into the monstrous Ganon. With the Triforce in his possession, the Sacred Realm falls into ruin and becomes the Dark Legend of Zelda Ocarina of TimeGanondorf as he appears in Ocarina of man known as Ganondorf first appears in Ocarina of Time. He is the King of the tribe of thieves known as the Gerudo, although he is the only male born in one hundred years among them. He swears allegiance to the King of Hyrule in a plan to deceive the Royal Family and steal the Triforce. In the course of attempting stop him, Link gathers what he needs to claim the Master Sword from the pedestal in the Temple of Time. However, when he pulls the sword free, it is determined that he is not of age to wield the blade yet, and is held there for seven years. With Link in this state, the doors to the Sacred Realm remain wide open, and Ganondorf uses this opportunity to enter and steal the power of the the next seven years, Ganondorf takes near complete control of Hyrule, and the land falls into ruin. When Link confronts him near the game's end, Ganondorf is defeated, but uses the power of the Triforce to become the monstrous Ganon in a final attempt at victory. This last-ditch effort is thwarted, and Ganon is Link returns to the past, the Gandondorf of that era is summarily arrested and executed. The events surrounding Ganon's battle with Link cause the timeline to split from this point, with one branch extending from the future era in which Ganon is defeated, and a second branch extending from the past era in which Ganondorf is executed before he can succeed. A third branch also exists, in a version of history where Ganondorf is Legend of Zelda Twilight PrincessIn Twilight Princess, the sages attempted to execute Ganondorf, but failed because of his divine power. He killed one of the sages, which forced them to send him into the Twilight Realm as a last resort. There, Ganondorf appeared before Zant, posing as a god and granting him part of his power. He then uses Zant as a proxy to invade Hyrule from the Twilight keeps possession of the sword used in his attempted execution. Though the blade didn't kill him, the attempt left a visible scar. He ultimately uses the sword himself in his fight with Link at the end of the Legend of Zelda Skyward SwordDemise, the demon king whose cursed hatred gives birth to does not appear in Skyward Sword. However, Demise, one of the game's primary antagonists and the final boss, bears a very strong resemblance to Ganondorf. Like Ganondorf, he once sought the Triforce, but the goddess Hylia sacrificed her own divinity in order to seal him away. Generations later, Hylia was reborn as a mortal, Zelda of Skyloft, and Ghirahim uses her soul to resurrect Demise, who shortly thereafter challenges Link to a Demise's defeat, he invokes a curse, stating that an incarnation of his very hatred will be eternally reborn. Those with "the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero", that is, the future incarnations of Zelda and Link, will be bound to it forever. Just as Zelda is the mortal reincarnation of Hylia, Ganon is the eternal reincarnation of Demise's WarriorsGanondorf's design in Hyrule is a playable character in Hyrule Warriors, a crossover collaboration between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo that blends the setting and characters of The Legend of Zelda with the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors. He fights using a great sword as his the story of Hyrule Warriors, Ganondorf's spirit was separated into four fragments. Three were scattered in time and sealed away in different eras the eras of Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, and Twilight Princess. The remaining fragment was sealed by the Master Sword resting in its Cia, a seeress that watches over the Triforce, has a momentary lapse of spirit due to her sadness at not being able to share Link's love, a remaining essence of Ganondorf's manages to wedge its way inside her and expel the good in her. He uses Cia to free the three fragments of his spirit scattered in time, allowing him to return to a physical form. However, he is not yet at full power, and Cia drives him off, claiming the Triforce of Power for Cia's death, the fourth fragment of Ganondorf is freed, as the sword pedestal's guard over it had weakened without the Master Sword. Made whole once more, Ganondorf summons Ghirahim and Zant from their respective eras to serve him, and the three quickly work to establish control over Hyrule and claim the pieces of the Triforce. In battle, Ganondorf triumphs over Lana, retaking the Triforce of Power, and then steals the Triforce of Courage from Link and the Triforce of Wisdom from the full power of the Triforce at his command, Ganondorf seizes control of Hyrule Castle, turning it into his tower and base of operations. But the Hyrulian forces mount an assault on his keep and manage to defeat him. Nintendo’s most iconic adventure series is famous for its insane speedrunning community. A Link to the Past is no exception. The Legends of Zelda A Link to the Past is the third installment of the Legend of Zelda series. It was originally released in 1991 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System but has since been ported to Game Boy, Wii virtual console, and Switch. While Ocarina of Time gets the most speedrunning attention, diligent Link to the Past fans have finished the game in just over 11 minutes. The three major categories for Link to the Past speedrunning each have their own unique ruleset. Here are the No Major Glitches, Restricted Glitches, and Glitch rulesets explained for Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. Link to the Past NMG speedrun rules The Any% No Major Glitches category is the most popular version of Link to the Past speedrunning. Players must navigate through the game as normal, completing the major dungeons and squaring off against Ganon. True to its name, No Major Glitches runs can’t employ techniques like clipping out of bounds or abusing the game engine. The current record holder for Link to the Past with no major glitches is Edwwwward from Germany. The Twitch streamer achieved a record time of 12303. He also holds the record for fastest Master Sword at just over 21 minutes. Xelna’s 100% Link to the Past NMG speedrun record isn’t too much longer at 14118. Link to the Past Major Glitchless speedrun rules The Major Glitches speedrun variant for Link to the Past has a surprisingly brief ruleset. Players are allowed to use a movement glitch to force Link outside of the intended movement boundaries. This rule also prohibits the use of level warps and other truly game-breaking strategies. Walking wherever you want is just as useful as it sounds. fsg from Sweden has the fastest Any% Link to the Past Minor Glitches speedrun at 2535. That’s almost an hour shaved off the glitchless run. It notably doesn’t actually shed that much time off the 100% category. Almost all the game’s collectibles are understandably within the normally navigable boundary. Lui from Mexico rules the niche category with 12844. Link to the Past Major Glitches speedrun rules The special rules above are meant to nudge the runners towards actually playing the game, collecting loot, and defeating bosses in a reasonable order. That concept flies out of the window for Link to the Past Major Glitches. The record run for Any% consists of Link jumping off a cliff before running across the screen in a loop, then turning invisible and teleporting to the final dungeon. The two major subcategories for major glitched Link to the Past speedruns are Defeat Ganon and Any%. The first still requires players to complete the final fight of the game. The record is held by a Norwegian gamer named poor_little_pinkus at 1106. That may seem super short but the Any% major glitches category is the absolute fastest Link to the Past speedrun. French Zelda fan Lomiig set a time of just one minute and 31 seconds, a record that’s gone unchallenged since 2017. Link to the Past weird speedrun categories There are a few more interesting runs that Link to the Past speedrunners have developed over the years. The first is Swordless, where players use any glitches to beat the game without ever collecting a sword. This humorous run was famously performed by Andy at Summer Games Done Quick 2017. American ChexHuman achieved a time of 5559 to establish a Swordless word record. Chexhuman also holds the record for another obscure Link to the Past speedrun contest. As expected, this run is one of the absolute glitchiest of them all. Chex accomplished the tall order of beginning with Ganon and ending on the Armor Knights in 5924. The rematches in Ganon’s Tower can be skipped so this category doesn’t start off with a boss rush inside of a boss rush. Legend of Zelda speedrunners are so in tune with the game that many attempt to speedrun blindfolded. Dutch streamer katun24 accomplished his run in just under three minutes. American runner mooglemod accomplished a similar feat by completing the game with only one hand. He defeated Ganon with major glitches or a second thumb in 13521. Nobody has contributed a record for a one-handed blindfolded Link to the Past speedrun yet. The final crazy Link to the Past speedrun category uses a fan-made script to convert the game into a two-player adventure. The two players can accomplish separate objectives in real-time, allowing skilled Zelda speedrunners to divide and conquer. The duo record-holders for Major Glitchless co-op Link to the Past speedrunning are Fricker22 and bydey. After countless runs, they achieved the best time of 5535. Ganon's Tower is the final dungeon in The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. It is located on Death Mountain in the Dark World and serves as the Dark World's equivalent of the Tower of Hera. It cannot be accessed until Link has freed all the Seven Maidens. When all seven crystals have been gathered, the force field placed around the tower is broken, and a staircase reveals itself. Although the artwork implies that it lacks any walls besides the pillars holding up the tower, the game itself shows that it does have walls. Story After rescuing Princess Zelda from Turtle Rock, Link must travel west, to Ganon's Tower. The tower has been sealed by Agahnim to prevent the hero from interfering with his plans. This seal is represented by a glowing magical force that illuminates the tower. The Seven Maidens, from inside their crystal prisons, use their power to break the seal placed on Ganon's Tower, allowing Link to enter. Inside, Link braves the many obstacles in the tower and is forced to battle the bosses that held the Pendants of Virtue in the Light World one more time. Link ascends to the very top of the tower, where Agahnim is waiting for him. After the second and ultimate defeat of Agahnim, the true antagonist, Ganon, abandons the body of Agahnim and retreats to the Pyramid. Link chases after him by calling the duck with the Flute, beginning a final battle between good and evil. Dungeon The Dungeon has eight floors total, consisting of multiple rooms and enemies on each. Link must once again do battle with the bosses of the Light World dungeons before facing Agahnim. While exploring the Dungeon, the Red Mail can be found on the first floor near the center of the map, however, it is not necessary to continue progressing through the game. Thefirst phase is by far the easiest. If you collected the master sword already – either through normal methods or the glitch I told you about earlier – it’ll only take 7 hits to clear the first phase. The first thing you’re gonna do is keep your guard up; Thunderblight is going to attack you swiftly so if you can flurry rush: do, if not: a good shield will defend you.

watch 0140 The Sandman Will Keep You Awake - The Loop Ganon is the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, and the secret final boss of Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. Background Ganon was once an ordinary thief named Ganondorf who stumbled across the Triforce in the Golden Land. Upon touching the Triforce, the Golden Land was altered to his image, becoming the Dark World. Ganon himself was altered into a powerful being capable of incredible feats of might and magic. Not satisfied with his own world, Ganon sought to conquer Hyrule, as well. However, he was stopped by the actions of the Seven Wise Men and was sealed away. From inside the Dark World, however, Ganon was able to construct an avatar named Agahnim. Upon reaching Hyrule, Agahnim began to use magic in order to seal away the descendants of the Seven Sages in order to free Ganon. Once Princess Zelda, the final descendent, was sealed away, the Dark World was unleashed and Ganon was freed. After freeing the Seven Maidens, Link ascends Ganon's Tower and defeats Aghanim, who Ganon describes as his alter ego. Ganon then rises from Agahnim's body before transforming into a bat and flying to the Pyramid in the center of the Dark World, where he breaks a hole through the Pyramid's top. Link uses the flute to call his bird and follows Ganon to the Pyramid. Inside, Link and Ganon battle for the future of Hyrule. Stats Attack Potency Large City Level Massively superior to Onox, who casually made a storm that covered all of Holodrum. Speed Massively Hypersonic+ Can keep up with Link, who is able to keep up with Onox, who can move in tandem with lightning. Durability Large City Level Can take serious hits from Link's strongest weapons, which can harm Onox. Hax Invisibility, Shapeshifting, Duplication. Intelligence Above Average Gained the favor of the King of Hyrule and dethroned him. Stamina High Can endure a high number of attacks from Link's most powerful weapons and still go on fighting. Powers, Techniques, and Equipment Powers Magic Projectiles Ganondorf is able to shoot balls of magic energy. These balls can also divide themselves into smaller projectiles to cover a wider area. Fire Manipulation Ganon can create a wide array of fireballs, which can transform into bats and chase after the enemy, leaving a trail of fire behind them. Invisibility When he is located in a dark room, Ganon can go completely invisible. This is reverted if the room is lit up. Electricity Manipulation As Agahnim, Ganon has been shown shooting electricity out of his hands. Duplication As Agahnim, Ganon can create intangible copies of himself to trick the enemy. Though they're intangible, their attacks can still damage the enemy. Teleportation In the Oracle games, Ganon can teleport short distances. Shapeshifting Ganon is able to alter his shape at will. He's been shown transforming into a bat, or into a humanoid wizard that he refers to as Agahnim. Techniques Dead Man's Volley As Agahnim, Ganon can shoot a ball of energy that travels toward the enemy at high speed. However, they can be deflected back at him with ordinary weapons. Equipment Trident A large trident that Ganon wields as a weapon. He can use it to deliver physical strikes, or he can throw it around like a boomerang. Minor Feats Attack Potency/Strength Caused the collapse of parts of a room. Speed/Reactions Can move faster than Link can keep up with. Durability/Endurance Can withstand blows from most of Link's weapons. Skill/Intelligence As Agahnim, gained the favor of the King of Hyrule and dethroned him. Kidnapped Princess Zelda and the Seven Maidens. Ruled over the Dark World. Powerscaling Ganon is inarguably one of the strongest characters in the ALTTP era, being the one that has given Link the most trouble, and requiring him to use his strongest weapons in order to defeat him. It should go without saying that he's superior to his follower Onox, who has the two most notable feats in this era. Weaknesses Particularly vulnerable to weapons of a sacred nature. Contrary to popular belief, he can be harmed and killed by normal weapons, such as Biggoron's Sword. His invisibility can be undone by exposing his body to light. If you fall, you will have to leave the Pyramid and start the battle again at the beginning. After all four edges of the floor have fallen away, there will be some dialogue, and Ganon will start shooting a line of fire at you as he teleports. Then the room will turn dark, and Ganon will become invisible. You must light the corner torches to reveal Ganon and make him vulnerable to attack. As soon as all four torches are burning, hit him with the Golden Sword to stun him, and quickly shoot him with a Silver Arrow before he can recover. Repeat this process until Ganon is defeated. Afterward, go north through the door that opens. Congratulations! You won! Enjoy the ending!

It does away with the side-scrolling gameplay of Zelda II The Adventure of Link and returns to a top-down perspective akin to that of the first The Legend of Zelda. It introduced series mainstays like parallel universes and special items like the Master Sword.

"I never imagined a boy like you could give me so much trouble. It's unbelievable that you defeated my alter-ego, Agahnim the Dark Wizard, twice! But I will never give you the Triforce. I will destroy you and make my wish to conquer both Light and Dark Worlds come true without delay." — Ganon Ganon 邪悪ãçŽ‹ã‚¬ãƒŽãƒ³ Jaaku no ÅŒ Ganon?, King of Evil Ganon is the final boss of The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. Link battles this hideous monster within the Pyramid. Story Artwork of Link's battle with Ganon Ganon was once an ordinary thief named Ganondorf who stumbled across the Triforce in the Golden Land. Upon reaching Hyrule, Agahnim began to use magic in order to seal away the descendents of the Seven Sages in order to free Ganon. Once Princess Zelda, the final descendent, was sealed away, the Dark World was unleashed and Ganon was freed. After freeing the Seven Maidens, Link ascends Ganon's Tower and defeats Agahnim, who Ganon describes as his alter ego. Link defeats Ganon with the help of the Silver Arrows and a doorway opens. Link enters it and finds himself in a hall where the omniscient Triforce lies. Wishing with all of his heart for Ganon's evil deeds to be undone, Link touches the Triforce, and his wishes are granted. The Dark World disappears and the land of Hyrule is restored to peace. Battle Ganon warps across the room, throwing his trident like a boomerang. After Link deals a certain amount of damage with his sword, Ganon will generate rings of fireballs around himself, which will turn into bat shapes similar to Fire Keese and fly at Link. After Ganon has taken more damage, he will cause the bordering floor to collapse and send Fire Keese in a spiral pattern, which leave a trail of flame. Ganon then makes the room go dark, rendering himself invisible, and warps around the arena shooting more Fire Keese straight at Link. Link must relight the torches with the Lantern or the Fire Rod, making Ganon visible again so that he can stun him with a sword slash. Link must then shoot Ganon with a silver arrow. After Link repeats this four times, Ganon is defeated. If Link falls off the edge of the battlefield after Ganon makes the floor collapse, the battle ends, and Link finds himself in a corridor with a Telepathic Tile through which Sahasrahla will advise him. The battle against Ganon must then be fought again from the beginning. This happens even after Ganon is defeated. Character A This is a Class A article. It is completely up to code, and should require very little editing. Ganon [Edit] [Talk] Ganon commonly known as Ganondorf , also known as Ganondorf Dragmire in humanoid form, is the demon form of Ganondorf, who is the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda series. He first appeared in The Legend of Zelda, then appeared in The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time as his alter ego. Ganon's backstory was first brought up in The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, though his first appearance in a human form was in Ocarina of Time. He is generally considered the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda series, though his contemplated plans are invariably always thwarted by the series hero Link. In The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, it was established that both Ganon and Ganondorf are incarnations of Demise's undying rage that will follow Link and Zelda across time to bring desolation to their kingdom. So far, Ganon and/or his counterpart Ganondorf have made an appearance in every Zelda game to date, excluding The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask, The Minish Cap, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword, and The Legend of Zelda Tri Force Heroes. History Unified Timeline The Era of the Goddess Hylia Long before the events of the Zelda series, the world was created by three Golden Goddesses named Din, Farore and Nayru. Once their creation was complete they left the world and left behind a relic that was an embodiment of their power, the Triforce, an artefact who could realize any wish but one that couldn't be used by Gods with it, they left one of their own kind, the Goddess Hylia to Watch over it. After eras of peace a race of Demons came from another world and tried to obtain the Triforce for their Master, Demise. Demise was the incarnation of pure evil and a being that could rival even Gods but wasn't considered as a god and as such could be able to claim the power of the triforce. After a violent battle between the races under Hylia's protection and the Demon forces, Hylia gathered most humans and send them beyond the clouds on what would later be known as Skyloft and created the Master Sword for the hero of the humans who would later destroy the king of evil. Demise would finally be sealed but the Goddess loosed her immortality and was forced to reincarnate. The Sky Era In Skyward Sword, Link the choosen hero of the Goddess claim the Master Sword and the whole Triforce to defeat a reborn Demise with the help of Zelda who was exposed as Hylia reincarnated. Before his own destruction, the Demon King cast a curse on the soul of the Hero, the Goddess, and his own. The three would be endlessly reincarnated and forced to fight each other across history. Demise's hatred would later become the entity known as Ganon. The Era of the Hero of Time According to "Ocarina of Time", Demise's reincarnation was a member of the Gerudo tribe and was their king, at which time he was named Ganondorf - the sole male of his kind, as only one male is born to the Gerudo every century. Koume and Kotake were described as his surrogate mothers, raising him in an environment where death is an almost-daily event. Like Demise ,Ganondorf coveted the Triforce and the lush green lands where Hyrule, the kingdom founded by the descendants of Hylia, stood. Adult Timeline The Awakening of the Hero of Time The hero Link had been used by Ganondorf and unwittingly helped him gain access to the Triforce when Link acquired the Master Sword, unlocking the entrance to the Sacred Realm where the Triforce resided. However, once Ganondorf touched the Triforce itself, it split into its three components that embedded themselves in the three people destined to receive them - Ganondorf received the Triforce of Power, Link the Triforce of Courage, and Princess Zelda the Triforce of Wisdom. With the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf was able to conquer the land of Hyrule and rule unopposed for seven years, obtaining the title of King of Evil/King of Darkness Dark Lord or Devil King in the Japanese version. At that point, Link, who had been held in stasis for those seven years, was awakened by Rauru, the Sage of Light. Rauru encouraged him to awaken the other six Sages whose power had been dormant in the leaders of Hyrule to oppose and defeat Ganondorf's rule. Now a young adult, Link had succeeded in awakening the Sages and attacked Ganondorf's stronghold for a final showdown. After his initial defeat, Ganondorf's piece of the Triforce, combined with his evil and lust for power, could not contain the evil within his heart. Ganondorf was transformed into an immensely powerful, porcine monster of terrifying evil. After his transformation Ganondorf was to be known as Ganon. After an intense battle, Link and Zelda whom Ganon needed for the Triforce of Wisdom and Courage were able to fight and finally subdued the demonic Ganon long enough for the Seven Sages to combine their powers and seal him away. As Ganon screamed that he would return and destroy Link and Zelda's descendants. The Era without a Hero Link was send back in time before he even met Zelda and as such he could not save the people of Hyrule when Ganon came back and despite their prayers for his return. The Demon King ravaged the land without any opposition. The people of Hyrule realized that the hero was not going to save them again and began to pray desperately to the gods. The gods responded by flooding Hyrule with endless rains and Ganon was sealed with the kingdom at the bottom of the Great Sea. The Era of the Great Sea Ganon finally reached the surface of the Great Sea but since cities and towns lay on islands separated by thousands of miles of sea, he was not able to control the Great Sea very easily. He wanted to find the descendant of Hylia to retrieve the Triforce of Wisdom which was bound to the royal family so he sent the Helmaroc King to kidnap Young girl with pointy ears since it was the mark of the descendant of the Goddess. He killed Laruto and Fado two sages tasked with praying to grant power to the Master Sword. A new child who possessed the soul of the Hero was born on Outset Island, after the kidnaping of his sister Aryll by the monstrous bird he allied himself with the The King of Red Lions, a boat possessed by the spirit of Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule the last king of Hyrule. After obtaining the Mster Sword, awakening the successor of the dead sages and retrieving the pieces of the broken Triforce of Courage, Link faced the Demon King in his own tower but was incapacitated and Ganondorf who captured Tetra, the descendant of Hylia and holder of Triforce of Wisdom, used them to summon the whole Triforce and as he was about to wish for the rebirth of Hyrule, the king touche dit and wished for the destruction of the remains of the kingdom and the sealing of Ganondorf. Furious, Ganondorf challenged the two other holder of the Triforce to a fight. Link sealed the King of Evil by stabing him in the head with the master sword turning him in stone and since the shield protecting the Kingdom from the Great Sea was destroyed by the Triforce, Ganon was now at the bottom of the sea. The Era of the Great Voyage During ’The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass’’ Ganondorf is only mentioned by Niko in the prologue. Child Timeline Ganondorf’s execution After his fight Link was sent back before his initial encounter with Zelda and denounce Ganondorf before he could take over Hyrule and the Gerudo is condemned to death. During his execution by the Ancient Sages, the Triforce of Power manifest itself on the back of his hand and he kill the Sage of Water. He is banished in the Twilight Realm by the remaining Sages The Era of Twilight In the Twilight Realm Ganondorf took the form of a spirit and convinced Zant that he was a god and gave him some of his powers. Zant take over the Twilight Realm and launch an attack on the light realm and spread the influence of the twilight across it. Ganondorf use Zant’s actions to be able to have a physical body once again . Link will then fight and defeat the King of Evil, he is unable to use the Triforce of Power to cheat death one more time and he is forced to reincarnate. The Era of Shadow Hundreds of years later a new Ganondorf was born in the Gerudo tribe and violated the ancient taboo of the tribe and stole the trident in the Pyramid, he then stole the Dark Mirror from Temple of Darkness. After that he wanted to free Vaati from the Four Sword and creates a Dark Link. After their journey across Hyrule, the four Links born from the Four Sword finally destroy Vaati and seal Ganon. Fallen Timeline The Imprisoning War During the fight between Ganon and Link in ’Ocarina of Time’’, link is defeated and the Demon King obtain the whole Triforce, the sages are forced to seal him in the sacred realm. However the nearly unlimited powers of the Demon King corrupt the Sacred Realm which turns into the Dark Worlds a place that turn those who dare to go in it into a reflection of what lies in their heart. Since most of those who get inside the Dark World are greed-ridden Hyrulean, they turned into monsters under Ganon’s order. The Demon King launch an attack on Hyrule, the war wages in the whole kingdom and the King of Hyrule as well as the Seven Sages are forced to seal Ganon and his soldiers in the Dark World. The Era of Light and Dark Years after the Imprisoning War, Ganon used Agahnim to disposes of the six maiden, descendant of the sages who were the only one able to seal him in the past by sending them in the Dark World. Link free them and defeat Agahnim who is revealed to be Ganon’s alter ego. Ganon then fled to the Pyramid of Power and Link go after him, the two engage in a fight and the Demon King is once again destroyed. Link use the full Triforce to restore Hyrule to a state of peace. The Return of Ganon After the defeat of Ganon at the hands of the Hero, Koume and Katoke plot to revive him for this ritual, they required three flames to be lit The Flame of Destruction, the Flame of Sorrow, and the Flame of Despair, and follow these with a human sacrifice. In order to lit those flames, the witches sent Onox to Holodrum and Veran to Labrynna. Link kills both of the witches’ minions but they were successful in lighting the Flame of Destruction and the Flame of Sorrow. In order to light the third flame, Twinrova kidnapped Princess Zelda. This would light the Flame of Despair, to complete their ritual, the witches wanted to use the princess as the human sacrifice. Link defeat them and they sacrifice themselves to revive the Demon King but since the ritual was not completed naturally, Ganon was revived without his sanity and became nothing more than a mindless creature with the power of the Triforce. After his defeat, he was sealed and the Triforce was split apart. A Link Between Worlds After centuries of peace, Yuga a wizard from Lorule invade Hyrule and turn the descendants of the sages into painting and collect them in order to bring back Ganon and fuse with him. Now holding the Triforce of Power, Yuga plot to obtain the two other part of the Triforce and betray Princess Hilda who wanted to use Hyrule’s Triforce to save her kingdom from decay. He obtains the Triforce of Wisdom which was stolen from Zelda by Hilda and confronts Link. The Hero defeats him and Ganon is once again sealed away, the Triforce is reunited. The Era of Decline and Ganon’s return Years after Yuga’s defeat, the kingdom was weakened by the acts of the king who was unable to find a successor since he deemed his son unfit to rule, so he once again split the Triforce in three. The prince was told by a wizard his sister; Zelda knew were the Triforce was hidden, she refuses and the wizard put her in an eternal sleep, Zelda was the only one who knew where the Triforce of Courage was, the royal family was unable to use the whole Triforce and the kingdom entered a state of decay. Many years later, Ganon came back with his army, took over the Kingdom and claimed the Triforce of Power. Fearing that the King of Evil could get the Triforce of Wisdom, she broke it in eight fragments and hid them through the realm. Impa was sent to find someone with the courage to face Ganon, she found Link, the hero retrieved the fragments of the Triforce and triumphed of the Evil King. After the Ganon’s defeat, his henchmen vowed to sacrifice the Hero to resurrect the King of Evil but their attempt failed and Link reunited the three pieces of the Triforce. End of the Timelines 10000 Years before Breath of the Wild 10000 Years before the events of ’The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild’’, Ganon was known as “Calamity Ganon” an entity composed of pure evil, the Sheikah created the Guardians and the Divine Beasts to oppose him. Calamity Ganon was defeated by the reincarnation of the Hero, The descendant of Hylia and the pilots of the Divine Beasts. 100 Years before Breath of the Wild 100 Years before the events of ’Breath of the Wild’’, The Royal Family of Hyrule noticed signs of the return of Calamity Ganon so they began to search for the ancient machines created by the Sheikah to oppose the Calamity. Without any warning Ganon came back and took over Hyrule Castle, killed everyone inside and corrupted the Guardians. He sent the Blights to kill the chosen pilots and take over the Divine Beasts. Eventually, the hero was defeated by the Guardians and placed in the Shrine of Resurrection, the Princess used her power to confront Ganon and trap him in the castle for the next 100 years. Breath of the Wild After his awakening, the hero destroyed the Blights and freed the Divine Beasts and the souls of the fallen champions. He then confronted the Calamity who tried to restore his Gerudo body but was held back by Zelda and as a result took the form of a half formed Gerudo attached to a mechanical spider body. His physical form was destroyed by Link and the hero was then forced to face the Dark Beast Ganon himself. Zelda helped him by giving him the Bow of Light. After their battle, the Calamity was defeated by the Princess. However, the Calamity Ganon is cataclysmic as well. In his Calamity Ganon form, Ganon is often erroneously referred to using neutral pronouns.
